ABOUT OUR FIRM
The law firm of Schulman, LeRoy & Bennett was originally formed on January 1, 1969. It was initially organized under the name of Edwards, Schulman, McCarley, Hollins & Pride, it occupied office space in the American Trust Building in Nashville, Tennessee. W. Wayne LeRoy became a member of the firm in 1972. In January 1981, the firm incorporated under the name of Schulman, LeRoy & Bennett, P.C.
In 1974, the firm acquired its present office space on the top floor of the 501 Union Building in Nashville, Tennessee. The firm has maintained its office at that address ever since.
Schulman, LeRoy & Bennett maintains a civil practice, including litigation in state and federal courts. Our attorneys are licensed in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia. The firm represents clients in virtually all areas of law. These areas include all facets of business, construction and commercial liability, premises liability, products liability, workers’ compensation, surety bond litigation, and personal injury liability. The firm is included in Best’s Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys. It maintains an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and is listed in Martindale-Hubbell’s Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
We believe that the best way to reduce legal costs is to identify and reduce potential legal problems and promote a better understanding of the law for our clients. Our attorneys frequently provide seminars to clients as well as other members of the legal community. Individual attorneys often present uniquely designed programs for our clients on subjects such as recent developments in the law, insurance issues, oil and gas concerns, employment law, anti-trust litigation, sexual harassment, construction law, landlord/tenant issues, and other areas of interest to our clients. We strive to provide timely, efficient services to our clients in an economical manner. Our experience in dealing with business owners and managers allows us to provide solutions to solve legal problems and find practical solutions to day-to-day issues.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND INVOLVEMENT
The attorneys at Schulman, LeRoy & Bennett are active on the boards, and as members, of a myriad of civic, corporate and charitable organizations in our community. Our attorneys regularly provide pro bono legal services for those unable to afford counsel. In addition, our attorneys participate in activities that promote the legal community as judges in law school and high school moot court and mock trial competitions.
