Angus Gillis III Angus Gillis, III (agillis@slblawfirm.com) is the managing principal in this firm and has been in practice since 1975. Mr. Gillis received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1971. He also received a J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee in 1974. Mr. Gillis has a litigation practice involving insurance defense, products liability, construction litigation, and worker’s compensation. He also handles commercial transactions involving real estate, personal property, and the financing of the same. He is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee, and American Bar Associations, as well as the Tennessee Defense Lawyers, and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Gillis has presented a number of continuing legal education programs. He has chaired the Nashville Bar Association committees on continuing legal education, ethics, unauthorized practice and fee disputes. Mr. Gillis is a member of Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma, honorary engineering fraternities.
